Watch the 2009 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals tennis tournament from November 22-29, 2009. The tournament will be a round robin format with eight players/teams divided in two groups of four players/teams each, with eight seeds to be determined by the South African Airways ATP Rankings and the 2009 ATP Doubles Team Rankings of Monday, 16 November, 2009.
The top seed will be placed in Group A and the second seed will be placed in Group B. Players/teams seeded three and four, five and six, seven and eight, will then be drawn in pairs with the first drawn placed in Group A.
The round robin will determine the four players/teams for the semi-finals with the format thereafter being an elimination competition.
The winner of each group (best overall record) will be placed in separate semi-final brackets, with the top player/team in Group A playing the runner-up in Group B, and vice versa.
All singles matches will be the best of three tie-break sets. All doubles matches will be two sets (no ad) and match tie-break.
